‘Ashes to Africa’

As we are in the preliminary stages of this campaign, details will be updated as we progress. At this time, the amount of funding needed is a rough estimate while we continue to work out the details and logistics.

Upon his passing in 2012, the remaining members of Ivan’s Tacoma family had decided to have his remains cremated. After his memorial at Zoo Atlanta, his ashes were brought back to Tacoma by the family & a small portion was used in each casting for his monument. It is our hope to return the remainder of his ashes back to his native homeland on the African continent.
